Daikon aka mooli is popular in Japanese, Chinese and Korean cuisine. Containing active enzymes, it is served raw and grated as a side dish to aid the digestion of fatty or oily meals. Being high in water and low in calories, it is a perfect food for anyone on a weight loss program.
